We provide boxing odds for bouts all around the world, allowing you to participate in the action when two gladiators step into the ring. Whether you're after a straight head-to-head option, you want to take a punt on a knockout result or a 12-round decision, or even predict the round the bout will end in we are your best source for boxing betting online.

The basics

Professional boxing bouts are predominantly held over 12 three-minute rounds, though bouts of between four and 10 rounds are common depending on the experience of the fighters. A fight can end via knockout (KO), technical knockout (TKO), disqualification or a points decision, the latter based on judges' scores tallied for each round.

Weight classes and sanctioning bodies

Fighters are divided into a series of classes based on weight, ranging from atomweight (46.3kg), through to featherweight (57.2kg), welterweight (66.7kg), middleweight (72.5kg), cruiserweight (90.7kg) and heavyweight (unlimited), with many classes in between.

There are several sanctioning bodies in the world of professional boxing, including the 'Big Four' – International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). Whichever class or sanctioning body the fight you're excited about falls under, you can bet on boxing online here.

The champions

Since the advent of pro boxing in the early-1900s, champions have taken on mythical status in the pantheon of sporting greats – Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano and, of course, Muhammad Ali. Mike Tyson dominated the 1980s, while Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis maintained heavyweight boxing's aura through the '90s.

Boxers in lower weight classes have been equally revered, such as Jake LaMotta, Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Oscar De La Hoya, and modern megastars Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, whose recent showdown smashed pay-per-view records the world over. The likes of Lionel Rose, Jeff Fenech, Kostya Tszyu and more recently Danny Green, Daniel Geale and Anthony Mundine have raised the profile of Australian boxing over the years.

When there's a big bout on or a championship belt going on the line, William Hill will have comprehensive boxing betting odds available for all fight fans.
